Sunset Beach Has Landed on Seminyak’s Shoreline

Seminyak’s hottest new opening is here. Long lunches that run into loud nights, oceanfront dancing and sunsets worth standing up for

There is a particular kind of magic to the Seminyak shoreline in the late afternoon, when the surf rolls in, the light turns to gold and the hours seem to stretch far longer than they should. It is here, right on the sand, that Sunset Beach has arrived, and it has quickly established itself as one of Seminyak’s most compelling new openings.

The newest beachfront destination from the team behind Mrs Sippy Bali is set directly on the shoreline, overlooking one of Seminyak’s most renowned surf breaks. Here, open fire dining, oceanfront daybeds, considered music and uninterrupted views across the Indian Ocean come together for the kind of long, unhurried day that Bali does better than anywhere in the world.

Framed by tropical gardens, natural materials and open air spaces, the venue feels intrinsically part of the coastline it sits on. The ocean stays in view from every seat, lunch drifts effortlessly into sunset drinks, and the only real decision left to make is whether to stay for one more.

At its heart is The Grill, an open fire dining concept built around woodfired seafood, exceptional produce and generous plates made for sharing. The menu draws on the world’s great coastal kitchens, where exceptional ingredients are cooked simply over flame and the pleasure lies in lingering, plate after plate, long into the afternoon.

Among the highlights are Grilled Tiger Prawns with chimichurri and lemon, and the Wagyu Rump Steak served with garlic butter and chimichurri – showcasing the quality of the produce and the timeless appeal of cooking over fire. Behind the bar, frozen slushies and Sunset Tiki anchor a drinks list made for exactly this setting, where ordering just one more feels like the most natural thing in the world.

All the while, a carefully curated soundtrack carries the venue gently from long lunch into golden hour, rising with the energy of the crowd as the day unfolds.

“Sunset Beach was created to celebrate everything people love about Bali’s coastline,” says Founder Andrew Stanway. “We wanted to build more than a venue. It is a place where culture and nature come together, whether over long lunches, sunset sessions or time spent with friends.”

Then comes the moment the venue is named for. As golden hour settles over the water, glasses are refilled, conversations stretch a little longer and the Indian Ocean catches the last of the light. Surfers trace their final lines back to shore, the sky deepens through soft gold and rose, and another flawless Bali sunset unfolds across the horizon. It is, without question, one of the most beautiful seats in Seminyak.

Long before the beach clubs and the daybeds, this stretch of coastline was the reason people first fell for Seminyak. Now, with Sunset Beach, it is the reason they find it impossible to leave. The kind of place you arrive at for lunch and remember for the rest of your trip.

About Sunset Beach Seminyak

Located directly on the shores of Seminyak Beach, Sunset Beach is the latest opening from the team behind Mrs Sippy Bali. Centred around open fire dining, beachfront lounging and uninterrupted Indian Ocean views, the venue offers a front-row seat to one of Bali’s favourite daily rituals, watching the sun disappear into the horizon.

Home to The Grill, Sunset Beach pairs woodfired seafood, locally inspired dishes, sunset cocktails and music with an atmosphere designed to linger in long after the last plate has left the table.

With beachfront daybeds, open-air lounges and one of the best sunset vantage points in Seminyak, Sunset Beach is made for long lunches, slow afternoons and evenings that rarely end when planned.
