Ready for summer? It’s starting early this year. For three Sundays in October, Maybe Sammy, El Primo Sanchez and CHELL-OH! are partnering with One MICHELIN Key hotel InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach, to take over the iconic Pool Bar.
Think a poolside Sunday only Slim Aarons could dream of: cocktails in hand, cabanas to lounge in, snacks to soak it all up and DJs setting the soundtrack from 2–6pm. Each week brings a new menu and a different reason to settle in for the afternoon.
It all kicks off on 11 October in true Sammy style: bubbles, bubbles and more bubbles, alongside Maybe Sammy signatures and poolside plates including Queensland scallops with miso brown butter and buttermilk fried chicken.
Cousin Sanchez pops up the following Sunday, 18 October (because he always finds his way to a good party), bringing tequila cocktails, Primo Margaritas and Mexican-inspired snacks including tempura barramundi tacos, guacamole and tuna ceviche.
Then, on 25 October, we say CHELL-OH! and goodbye with a spritz-laden send-off to close out the month and welcome in Sydney summer. Expect Fancy Melon Sodas, Lemon Drop Martinis and Limoncello Margaritas, best accompanied by Sydney rock oysters, Moreton Bay bug rolls and fries.
And because some things are too good to mess with, Maybe Sammy staples including the Lychee Martini, Coconut Negroni and CHELL-OH! Limoncello Spritz will be pouring across all three Sundays.
A $30 pre-booked ticket gets you a cocktail on arrival, entertainment and guaranteed entry. Maybe we’ll see you poolside?
