The Clock’s latest menu is a love letter to Surry Hills’ favourite producers

Surry Hills’ local watering hole, The Clock Hotel, is celebrating the neighbourhood it calls home with the return of Friends of The Clock. Back by popular demand, the month-long collaboration brings the best of Surry Hills’ local businesses together in one limited-edition menu.

Running from 1-31 August, this year’s iteration sees The Clock team up with Tonton BreadBourke Street Bakeryand Veneziano Coffee Roasters to create six exclusive food and drink specials, each showcasing ingredients from its hospitality neighbours.

Designed to be a love letter to Surry Hills, the showcase features highlights such as Fried Popcorn Chicken accompanied by Bourke Street Bakery’s signature hot sauce and pickles, a hearty Meatball Focaccia Pocket served in Tonton Bread’s freshly baked focaccia, alongside a smooth Italian Hazelnut Tiramisu infused with Veneziano Coffee.

Behind the bar, expect a playful Main Squeeze, a Patrón Silver shot served with a mandarin and lime chaser, as well as a berry-forward Pump Up The Jam, made using Bourke Street Bakery’s mixed berry jam. For something more indulgent, the Veneziano CoffeeClub Martini, serves up a mixture of Baileys, Frangelico and vodka for the ultimate winter nightcap.

It’s a collaborative menu built on local friendships and connections, wrapped in the relaxed, humble charm The Clock is known for.
