Saluministi Celebrates 10 Years With A Thank You To Melbourne

Iconic porchetta panino returns to 2016 pricing for two days: 23 & 24 July

Ten years ago, founders Peter Mastro and Frank Bressi took a leap of faith, betting on themselves by opening Saluministi’s first permanent shopfront in Docklands. A decade later, they’re celebrating the milestone the best way they know how, by thanking the city that has supported them from day one.

On Thursday 23 July and Friday 24 July, Saluministi will wind back the clock – offering its first-ever, and now iconic, Porchetta Panino for its original 2016 price of just $12 (normally $22) across all three Saluministi locations: Docklands, Melbourne Quarter and Flinders Lane.

The promotion honours the very first panino ever served from the Docklands store, a traditional porchetta roll that has since become Saluministi’s signature dish and a Melbourne favourite that regularly creates a line of eager customers.

Crafted with hand-rolled free-range roast pork, asiago, rocket and fennel salad in house-made focaccia, Saluministi’s Porchetta Panino is renowned for staying true to authentic Italian tradition, and is widely regarded as the closest style of porchetta you’ll find outside of Italy.

As part of the celebration, every 2016 priced porchetta panino will be wrapped in ‘Grazie’ paper that has been custom designed for the occasion including a handwritten love letter to Melbourne from the Saluministi family – a heartfelt gesture of appreciation to the customers who have helped shape Saluministi’s journey over the past decade and make it the success it is today.

“Reaching 10 years in Docklands is something we’re incredibly proud of,” said co-founder Peter Mastro. “Melbourne has backed us from day one, and we’ve met some amazing people along the way. Bringing our Porchetta Panino back to its original 2016 price isn’t a promotion, it’s simply our way of saying thank you for ten incredible years of support.”
