Iris Rooftop Brings Spanish Winter Rituals to Brisbane Bottomless Paella & Sangria and $6 Pintxos

Iris Rooftop is dialing up the Spanish-inspired winter rituals, with bottomless Paella & Sangria and $6 Pintxos – perfectly timed as mid-week cravings for convenience and curated specials take hold.

Every Wednesday from 5.30pm, Iris chefs will be serving their signature Chicken Chorizo & Prawn Paella, straight from a huge Paella pan – the spicy tomato base a warming antidote to the cooler nights. A Roasted Vegetable Paella with saffron and spicy tomato sauce is also available. Endless Paella for $39 per person.

Guests can elevate their Paella feast with bottomless carafes of Sangria – red, white, or rosé – for $35 per person. With a Spanish guitarist setting the mood and Iris’s 360-degree city skyline views as the backdrop, there’s plenty to ‘Salud’ as dusk descends.

Iris’s hearty Paella is best enjoyed with a table full of friends and is available until sold out. Early bookings are encouraged.

Thursdays at Iris’s iconic rooftop are equally enticing, with $6 Pintxos available from 6pm. Drop in after work, and pair the bite-sized tapas with a deep-hued winter sunset to embrace the unhurried Spanish tradition of drifting slowly into dinner.

Iris’s legendary Patatas Bravas need no introduction, while other menu highlights include Tomate Triturado En Pan – crushed tomato on grilled bread with shaved Manchego and garlic; Anchoas En Pan Crujiente – fillets of Cantabrian anchovy on Migas bread with crème fraiche; and Empanadas De Carne – cumin-braised beef empanadas with lime crema and tomatillo verde.

Whether it’s a round or three of Pintxos before dinner, or Pintxos that simply become dinner, it’s the ideal way to start a Thursday night. Bookings encouraged.

Robust Spanish flavours, free-flowing Paella and Sangria, and Brisbane’s best rooftop views, this is winter enjoyed the Spanish way.
