Sydney’s waterfront will come alive this May as the annual Barangaroo Artisan Market returns to The Streets of Barangaroo on Saturday 9 May, delivering a vibrant day of shopping, food and entertainment just in time for Mother’s Day.
The Streets of Barangaroo will be partnering once again with International Towers Sydney and Barangaroo Sydney to bring the Barangaroo Artisan Markets back for the fifth year in a row.
Running from 10am to 3pm, the free event will transform The Streets of Barangaroo into a bustling marketplace, with more than 70 artisan stallholders showcasing a curated selection of locally made goods. Visitors can browse handcrafted jewellery, textiles, ceramics, homewares, art and unique gifts, making it the perfect destination to find something special for Mother’s Day.
Stallholders include:
- Miss Chopsticks Origami Jewellery: Miss Chopsticks Origami Jewellery creates delicate handmade jewellery from traditional Japanese washi paper, thoughtfully folded and sealed for longevity
- Indigiearth: Indigiearth crafts premium native foods, beverages, cooking ingredients, and botanicals. Ethically sourced and sustainably harvested, Indigiearth showcases the finest in native Australian bush ingredients, sourced from Aboriginal communities
- Eliza Jade Candles: Unique, eco-friendly candles using premium perfumes and coconut soy wax, free from GM materials, petrochemicals, phthalates, and parabens
- 2nd Vie: 2nd Vie repurposes premium rescued fabric offcuts into stylish pieces for home and daily life. Handcrafted in Sydney, each item alternative to mass-produced gifts, reflecting their zero-waste mission
- Banish: Banish believes education drives real environmental impact by recycling hard-to-process items responsibly
- Sorella Cacao: Sorella Cacao crafts chocolate from the cacao bean, celebrating its rich, complex flavours. Using local ingredients where possible, and recycled, compostable packaging, each batch is made with care and love
Set against the backdrop of Barangaroo Harbour, the market will also feature a full program of free live entertainment, roving performers and interactive experiences designed to create a lively, family-friendly atmosphere throughout the day.
This year’s music line-up includes progressive and deep house duo YDKR (Rick and Johnny), alongside dynamic DJ and experimental saxophonist Gab Zak.
An exciting line-up of roving entertainment will bring the streets to life, including stilt walkers, roller skaters and hula hoop performers, singing ribbon characters, and a mariachi band with dancers. Families can also enjoy experiences such as an interactive photo booth, mermaid performers and giant bouncing kangaroos.
Alongside the market stalls, visitors can enjoy a range of gourmet food offerings and waterfront dining options from over 90 retailers.
With free entry and a packed program, Barangaroo Artisan Market has become a signature moment for the precinct, attracting thousands of Sydneysiders and visitors who come to experience the best of local artisans, food, and culture.
