No passport required: The Botanica Vaucluse turns 10 with a month-long gluten-free Italian festival

The Botanica Vaucluse
just turned 10, and one night was never going to cut it. This August, Sydney’s 100% gluten-free fine diner is spending the entire month celebrating with a series of exclusive artisan collaborations that trace a path across Italy, from Naples to Calabria and the Amalfi Coast, all without a single gluten-free menu compromise.

Known as one of Sydney’s few Coeliac Australia-certified restaurants, The Botanica has spent the past decade proving coeliac-safe dining can be just as indulgent as any traditional feast.

The month-long program includes:

  • An exclusive Amalfi-inspired lemon tart by acclaimed gluten-free pastry chef Sebastien Sans Gluten, available throughout August
  • A towering cannoli display handcrafted by Daniele Barresi, the Calabrian pastry chef behind Eden Pasticceria, with every table of two or more receiving a complimentary gluten-free cannolo on Saturday 8 August
  • Chef Abby James (ex-Quay, ex-Jonah’s) leading the kitchen behind it all

For ease, a couple of thought starters below: Happy to workshop further:

  • Inside 10 years of redefining what gluten-free fine dining can be
  • The artisan collaborations bringing Naples, Calabria and the Amalfi Coast to Sydney’s east
  • Why The Botanica’s gluten-free pizza night sold out before the festival even started
