Añada’s Mid-Winter Menu

A refreshed menu boasting bold Spanish flavours and comforting dishes to share

Spanish bar & restaurant, Añada, has launched its mid-winter menu with delicious new bites to try, while keeping favourites that locals love. Located in Fitzroy, Melbourne, Añada is known for serving guests an authentic taste of southern Spain with warm hospitality.

On the menu, guests will find a delectable selection of tapasto begin their dining experience. The spiced lamb pintxo (with mojo verde, pickled onion) and the goat’s cheese galleta (walnut, hot honey) are among the highlights.

To follow in the Spanish tradition, Añada’s entrada and mains are designed for sharing. Whether it be the Xanxullo (chips, boquerone, olives, guindilla) or the sardines and mussels escabeche (with zucchini) from the entrada selection, or the pan-roasted chicken (with salsa criolla, braised baby cos) or the slow cooked short rib (with Dutch carrots, mustard & kabayaki jus) from the mains, guests are encouraged to dine alongside each other, with dishes crafted to be enjoyed communally.

New to the postre (dessert) menu is Arroz con Leche, a warming Spanish rice pudding that is the perfect blend of cinnamon, sugar and silky Spanish rice, and ideal for the colder months.

All complimented by the extensive selection of Spanish and local wines.

Añada hosts a happy hour between 5pm and 6pm every day of the week, where guests can relax and enjoy a selection of $9 Spanish wines, as well as Wild Things Lager tap beer, añada negroni (vermut, manzanilla, campari) and the midnight sangria (vinto tinto, cola) on special, and a delectable tapas menu.

Plus, on Tuesdays, there’s $3 oysters from 5pm!

For those visiting for weekend lunch, Añada features a two-course Lunch Menu for $49 per person. There’s a choice of entradas, tortilla de patatas for main, and a glass of wine.

Fan-favourites remain on the menu. The paella de marisco (with king prawns, white fish, calamari, pipis) is best shared between two, making it the perfect central dish for Añada’s Wednesday Date Night Menu, which may be one of the best value menus in town at just $49pp:

  • Housemade sourdough (ajo blanco)
  • Tapas:
    • Croqueta de jamón (black garlic purée)
    • Cauliflower (ajo blanco, jamón, Manchego)
  • Paella de marisco (king prawns, white fish, calamari, pipis)
  • Basque cheesecake (with poached rhubarb)

Añada is proud of its Spanish roots, and the team enjoys offering the warmth, hospitality and generous spirit of southern Spain’s dining culture to Melbourne.
