Flour’s Aniruddha Bhosekar brings Indian home cooking to Saddles Mount White

The Barn at Saddles Mount White
will host baker and pastry chef Aniruddha Bhosekar for a one-night-only Curry Night this winter, celebrating the generous, flavour-packed Indian home cooking Aniruddha grew up with in Thane, near Mumbai.

Taking place on 13th August, Ani (Flour, Caringbah South; formerly Head Baker at Fabbrica Bread Shop) will take over the picturesque barn with a bespoke, warming winter feast inspired by childhood memories of family gatherings, festivals and meals shared around the table – pairing bold Indian flavours with organic vegetables, locally milled flour and Australian-grown produce.

The $80pp shared menu will feature Masala pappadums with pickle and mint yoghurt to start, followed by Dal Makhni, Palak Paneer or Murgh Tikka masala curry and Garlic naan, with Carrot halwa and saffron ice cream for dessert.

Best known for his work in bread and pastry – including leading Fabbrica Bread Shop and helping establish the bakehouse at the Three Blue Ducks – Ani will bring his signature attention to flour, fermentation and craftsmanship to every dish, from freshly made naan to the carefully layered flavours throughout the menu.

Set against the backdrop of The Barn’s soaring timber interiors and bushland surrounds, the evening offers Sydneysiders a memorable winter dining experience well worth the drive.
