Arnold’s in Wodonga has been crowned Victoria’s favourite greengrocer for 2026.
A better choice!, the national initiative supporting local independent fruit and vegetable retailers, has announced the nation’s favourite greengrocers for the A better choice! Retailer of the Year award.
More than 63,500 people voted for 440 stores across Australia for the award this year. which saw Geelong Fresh Foods and North Ringwood Fruit Market named Victoria’s second and third favourite stores.
Across the nation, Erbacher’s Fruit and Vegetables on the Sunshine Coast was named Australia’s best, with Minchinbury Fruit Market and Trims Fresh Merrylands both in NSW taking out second and third.
It’s the third time Arnold’s has been awarded, which took out the top spot nationally in 2023 and was also named Victoria’s best in 2024.
Fifth generation greengrocer Ben Arnold said the accolade meant a lot to the Arnold’s team as it was awarded by their loyal customers.
“Without our customers we don’t have a business so this award is really the highest accolade we could achieve. It’s good to know we are on the right track,” he said.
