Melbourne’s Cult Cookie Brand Is Marking The Milestone With New Drinks Menu And Limited-Edition Flavours
Melbourne’s cult cookie brand, The Cookie Box, opened its fifth Melbourne store and second CBD location this July with exclusive new cookie flavours and the brand’s first dedicated drinks offering.
The new menu reflects owner Nico D’Anna’s French culinary training and his ongoing dialogue between classic patisserie and Melbourne’s food culture. The newly released limited-edition flavour, Crème Brûlée Cookie, is a playful nod to one of France’s most iconic desserts, reimagined through The Cookie Box’s signature indulgent style.
Behind the cult following is an unwavering commitment to quality – where every cookie is handcrafted using Callebaut Belgian chocolate, St David cultured butter and precision-milled Australian flour and dough matured for a minimum of 48 hours before baking. The result is a cookie with a crisp exterior and a gooey, pull-apart centre.
“There are millions of cookies in the world, but only a handful that people genuinely remember. That’s been our obsession from day one. Five stores in, we wanted to mark the milestone the only way we know how: by hiding gold,” says Nico D’Anna, Owner, The Cookie Box.
The store also marks the first time The Cookie Box has introduced a dedicated beverage menu. Designed to complement its cookies, the range includes;
- Cold brew with vanilla cold foam
- Iced matcha
- Iced matcha with cold foam
A considered addition for a brand built on the idea that a great cookie deserves a great drink alongside it.
Maintaining the brand’s signature aesthetic of moody interiors, blacked-out finishes and glowing neon signage, the new Bourke Street flagship joins existing locations in Little Collins Street, Windsor, Hawthorn and Fitzroy, marking another milestone for the Melbourne-born brand as it continues its growth across the city.
